Ottawa, ON. The constituency office of Karen McCrimmon, MPP for Kanata-Carleton, has included DocAlerts as one of the resources on its "Looking for a Family Doctor" page. Residents using the page to search for a family doctor will now also find DocAlerts, a free tool that alerts them when a clinic near them starts accepting new patients. The page is part of the office's ongoing work to help Kanata-Carleton residents find a family doctor. DocAlerts adds a live layer to that effort: it checks Ottawa clinics every day and notifies nearby residents the moment one opens to new patients. "We are grateful the office included us as a resource for residents," said David Ayele, founder of DocAlerts. "Access to a family doctor is a real challenge in Ottawa, and it helps when local offices point people to the tools that make the search easier."
